When Mary and I attended the Chamber Business Awards, we were simply grateful to be nominated alongside so many outstanding, community-driven organizations. We’ve been blessed to receive awards in the past, but this year felt different.
This year was about impact.
In our very first year, Family Legacy Fitness expanded beyond weekly classes to become a hub for education, connection, and service across Manassas and Prince William County.

Family Legacy Fitness was built on more than programming — it was built on purpose-driven vision.
Founder Tim Rook has been the creative force behind many of the collaborations and community initiatives that shaped this first year of impact. As a Manassas native, Tim carries a deep personal commitment to serving the families and organizations that shaped his own journey growing up.
Through innovative partnerships, educational events, and cross-community collaboration, Tim has continually sought new ways to bring people together and create opportunities that extend beyond the training floor. From connecting nonprofits and schools to organizing expos and leadership events inside the Manassas Mall, his focus has remained clear:
